Community

Giving back is the best way forward.

Menasha is committed to being a force for good in local communities. And it’s been an ongoing commitment for 175 years. Our core business may be innovative packaging and supply chain solutions, but we’re also supporters of food banks, blood drives, building homes, strengthening lives and helping the environment.

As a socially responsible business engrained with family values, the donations and volunteer efforts from our employees help people in need every day. It’s just one part of the responsibility to the communities we serve, along with high-quality, environmentally responsible products and services. And it’s one more way Menasha Makes It Happen.

Leaving a better trail

Leaving a better trail

Menasha employees and their families recently helped install, paint and clean up the Born Learning Trail in Menasha’s Smith Park, named after Elisha D. Smith, Menasha’s founder. It’s one of 12 Born Learning Trails in the Fox Cities that feature interactive stations with tips and tools to engage children in play-based learning activities that boost language and literacy skills.

Thanks to the Menasha Corporation Foundation, kids in my community are able to learn the game of soccer and compete in tournaments throughout our region.

The company’s legacy of helping people and causes dates back to the generosity of our founder in the 1800s. In 1953, we formalized our charitable giving with the establishment of the Menasha Corporation Foundation.

Our Foundation awards grants that support four key areas:

Safe and healthy citizens

Menasha supports organizations and programs that provide basic needs for safe living, food, and health care.

Educated society

We encourage programs that create and expand learning experiences and opportunities, helping productive citizens reach their full potential.

Community betterment

These grants promote the quality of life that the arts and cultural activities bring to communities, as well as community improvement programs.

Environmental sustainability

We strive to impact future generations by funding programs that encourage the understanding, protection, and sustainability of our natural resources..

I see firsthand how the Foundation prioritizes making an impact with those in need. It feels good to know my company is just as passionate about helping others as I am.

FOR AN EDUCATED SOCIETY

Books for students

The Elisha D. Smith Public Library in Menasha, Wis., named after our company’s founder, purchased 600 paperbacks at various elementary reading levels for at-risk students at the start of the COVID pandemic. The program was financed by a grant from the Menasha Corporation Foundation. The school district librarian distributed the books along with free meals at lunch sites, and helped students and their families get free library cards, while encouraging them to make use of all the library resources.
